Located along the British Columbia border in NW Alberta, the beautiful vast expanse of Clear Hills County is 5,836 square miles of Peace Country quietude at its best. That’s an area about as large as the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined.
A top notch camping experience awaits at any of the great facilities located at Ole’s Lake, Clear River, Worsley R.V. Park, Running Lake, Many Islands, Carter’s Camp, Stoney Lake, Sulfur Lake or George Lake. Many species of fish and game abound for hunting and fishing enthusiasts to enjoy. Experienced guides and outfitters are available to ensure a memorable and rewarding trip.
Visitors can play 9 holes at the Cleardale or Hines Creek courses or take in some real rodeo action at the Clear River Rodeo. The Clear Hills Annual Agricultural Tradeshow is held in April at the Dave Shaw Memorial Complex in Hines Creek. “Bringing it all Together” the show includes pancake breakfast, exhibits, stock dog demonstrations, banquet and music performances.
The wintertime enthusiast may enjoy skiing the Peace Country at Whispering Pines Ski Hill near Worsley.
