Ocean Park is the center for much of the growth experienced on the northern end of Long Beach Peninsula. This unincorporated community originated in 1883 as a 250 acre settlement established by the Portland Methodist Episcopal Church’s Camp Meeting Association.
Ocean Park hosts the annual Garlic Festival over the third weekend in June every year and the Old Fashioned 4th of July Parade.
