Location: Stewart-Cassiar Hwy 37; approximately 61 miles south of Watson Lake, Yukon. Population: 120.
Driving north on Hwy 37 from Jade City, the traveler passes through the home of the Kaska Dease River Indian Band. Good Hope Lake maintains a small supply store for local and tourist trade and fuel is available. The Provincial Campground at Boya Lake Park lies just north of Good Hope Lake, offering great opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing for char and whitefish, while grayling may be wrestled from the Dease River. The intriguing landscape of the park was formed 8000 years ago when glaciers left a maze of pothole lakes and gravel ridges called eskers.
